my heart was fragile
you always knew

I waited for you
searching for the words
in your eyes

but the only thing I saw was my own reflection

the autumn leaves fell
buried under the cold snowflakes
and my tears froze to ice

I waited
longing

a new year

a kiss
only no heart

you embraced me like I was everything
but inside your shell
you didn't exist

I wanted to believe
hope
for you
us

that you could be mine

but
the winter nights became colder
and I begun to see the ics
around your soul

my eyes burst
because of the heart I had lost
to you
